The GW4+ Doctoral Landscape Training Partnership (DLTP) is delighted to offer up to 22 studentships for Doctoral Researchers who will start their PhDs in September 2026. Our studentships are funded both by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) under the new Doctoral Landscape Award 2024 and our universities. This is part of a major new investment by UKRI in doctoral research and training in the environmental sciences.

Please apply for ONE PROJECT ONLY across all the GW4+ DLTP Partner institutions, choosing carefully the research you wish to undertake, the institution you wish to attend and the location you wish to live in.

We will be hosting an Applicants Webinar on Friday 7 December. Please register your interest here and we will send you a link to join.

PLEASE NOTE: The application deadline is Thursday 8 January 2026 at 2359 GMT
